Liven Up Boring Corners with Container Garden Ideas

Have you ever seen areas that become boring after renovation? They added a new steel railing, changed some of the concrete, or even changed the whole area but it still looks dull. Well, that happens A LOT. Renovation is usually done to enhance the usability of the area, improve the looks, or even resolve the damage of that area.

If you are going to be in charge of something like that, do not forget to liven up the boring corners!

A simple addition of planter boxes can enhance the series of railings and concrete.

Take this project as an example. IOTA’s Granite Trough was added to Greenway Supa Centre and took care of the greenification needed.

The planters do not only serve as the container for the much-needed foliage but also acts as a barrier separating the busy area from the open space.

Here’s another great way to add some greens in a dull parking lot in Bankstown. The parking lot looks so modern with all the asphalt and concrete used, not to mention the steel railings. Trough planters are suitable for lining up along walls and railings to help direct traffic.

Granite Tapers were also positioned at specific junctures to emphasize a turn and serve as a guide for vehicles. Granite, being a naturally tough stone, makes these planters a good fit for such landscapes.

An attractive makeover was also provided when Canterbury City Council chooses Granite Trough 1000 planters to enhance the look of their city streets. It doesn’t just add some natural greens in the urban area, it also provides a great barrier between the pedestrian and the traffic.

As you can see, all of the projects happened in an urban area where pavements, steel railings, buildings, or concrete are dull to be left without any natural greens. Adding plants in planters on modern landscapes is a great way to improve the aesthetic value of an area. It makes the whole place livelier without making the plants look ‘out of place’. Planters make the foliage look like it belongs there.
